Introduction

These exercises aim to help you acquire the lexical “reflexes” you need to communicate in English. They are based on vocabulary mistakes frequently heard / seen in English classes: most of the sentences have been taken from students' work.

Try to do the questions AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE (Ideally, 10 questions = 10 minutes). Answer without thinking about it for too long! You can do the tests as often as you like, until you manage 10 = 10/10 (10 correct answers in 10 minutes). If a test seems too easy (or difficult) – change level!
